PLU - you need to google: argumentative, pontifical, and intransigent.

Gary -

ROTFL

I think that "obstinate" needs to be added to the google list!

HAHHAHA Backwards again...Since you are wrong about thinking Steinway Hall is part of Piano Row and wrong that any Piano Row stores have practice rooms(or are you still claiming otherwise?), it seems that those adjectives would apply to you.

Add "obtuse" to the google list.

This thread is not about Piano Row. It is about finding practice space in N.Y.C.

In case you haven't noticed, Piano Row is a mere, tiny bit in Manhattan, and totally ignores the other Boroughs.

What one earth do you think that comment has to do with the fact that you were wrong about "correcting" me in a nasty way when I said that Piano Row dealers did not have practice rooms?

You claimed I was wrong about Piano Row stores not having practice rooms. But you were wrong. Then you added some flat out rude and nasty comments. Then you repeated your error. Now you make a totally irrelevant comment.

My last comment to you about Piano Row...go there and see for yourself if you don't believe me. I've only been there 30 times but what do I know about those stores?

I never made that claim. It was your grand pronouncement that I took to task.

Another google word: Comprehension.

I said:"I am virtually certain none of the Piano Row stores have facilities for practicing."

You said and were wrong:"PLU - Obviously your "virtually certain" is incorrect." But go right ahead and be rude, obnoxious, and wrong as many times as you want.

My two sons used to love to watch wrestling on TV; I asked them once if they knew it was all rehearsed and choreographed and basically just a show/entertainment... they responded and said, yea, but dad, it's a good show. smile

Hope this thread doesn't end up needing a referee...

It would be funnier than it is, if it weren't also so sad.

But anyway, the OP found out something about practice rooms. I regret that I can't give any information more definite about the one in Boston, than that it was in an old, dusty office building downtown, with giant windows that opened on brass hinges with an antique keeper mechanism. Lots of light, anyway. No doubt, there are nicer ones, but it was cheap and the elderly grand surprised me by being playable even though it was jammed right up against the radiator.

In San Jose, you may find practice rooms at a performance hall called the Petit Trianon, downtown near Fourth and Santa Clara (just down the street from City Hall). Besides the big hall, there are many classrooms and studios in the building.

Now that the Google is invented, it will be much easier for travelers to find these places.
