This is my first post to the digital piano section, and only my second post to Piano World.
I have a full-time day job in IT, but am also employed as a church organist, accompanist to the local university's Concert Choir, and sit in with a local big band (4 trumps,4 trombones, 5 saxes, bass, drums, and piano).
The big band gigs require a portable piano. They rehearse at the church where I am organist, and the pianos there have spoiled me. Imagine - a Yamaha 6'3" Conservatory Grand and more recently, a Blüthner Model 2 Concert Grand. The big band plays in local parks throughout the summer in northeastern PA. Not quite possible to take a real piano on tour.
I have been using a keyboard I bought around 1996 - an Ensoniq TS-12. For its time, it was remarkable. It also weighs 55 lbs, with a whopping 6 mb memory.
I have now sent in an order for a Roland RD-300NX (Sweetwater Sound), and also ordered the Blüthner Model One Sound set sample library. I understand that this will require a laptop/PC to engage. I added JBL EON powered speakers.
I hope this works!

I would definitely be interested to hear how the Bluthner Model One turns out for you. Not alot of folks own it, but SOS gave it a really enthusiastic review, claiming it just might have the lowest noise floor of any virtual piano...
