With the last, gray days of wintering hanging on, I thought we might share some laughter.

Today, I washed my dogs' many squeaky toys. When the washing machine finally stopped spinning, there was a brief moment of silence and then we heard a chorus of inhaling squeaky voices emanating from the machine. The dogs went crazy. laugh

Horrible wine at communion today, why does St. Mark's Cathedral serve rather spoiled grape juice? Surely they can do better, so we'll put off Christ's blood for another day. At brunch I needed a beer to wash it away. THEN I had a good laugh!

OSK, that's cool! gooddog, why is that folks who cannot keep up their speed on 520 don't simply move out of the left lane? Don't they look in their rear view mirrors? If I'm doing 75 mph, just get out of the way.

Oh, don't get me started. Why do folks go 50 in the left lane when the speed limit is 60? Or how about those folks you can't get away from who slow down when they go up hill and speed up when they go downhill. Good grief. Learn how to drive! But I will say, as a group, Seattle area drivers are really polite. Shortly after I moved here, I put my blinker on to change lanes and someone slowed to let me in. I almost fainted. This happens all the time here! People are civil. I love it here.

I'm conducting a musical in May, and we had our first read-through/sing-through tonight. It's going to be hilarious!!!

I used to joke that in Michigan turn signals on cars are luxury features. That's why you don't see them used very often.
(sorry, OT post in the OT thread, but can't think of anything that made me laugh today!)

Ain't that the truth! I don't even think signals are available as an option. Moved here 12 years ago from Toledo, and it was like dodgem cars. What's funny is that Michiganders complain that Ohio state troopers are the worst (i.e. strictest) in the country. But I think the troopers would respond that Michigan drivers are the worst in the country. grin

I think people everywhere have been signaling turns less and less. It's been the case everywhere I've been in recent years. Don't ask me why. [Linked Image]

Listening to a friend's hilarious description of a decided downscale wedding with pretensions she attended this weekend. Among other things, they played "Proud to be an American" while lighting the unity candle. confused

The fact that Texas seems to be very anti-sidewalk. yes, promote cars..... to helll with walking! Drive your way into obesity!

Hilarious..... I see this every time I go to Texas.

A piano related video has given me my biggest laugh recently- musician/comedian/hirsute Reggie Watts

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAkc7xhW5z8

I love the first 30 seconds- especially that "subito pianissimo" he cranks out.

(n.b. The mild expletive in the title is the only one in the song.)
