Hi everyone. Take a look at this : http://imm.io/YWCEI'm currently learning this toccata on the organ. See the passage I have circled in red. I couldn't find a better fingering, do you think there is one ? As I'm supposed to play this prestissimo, I need the best fingering.. and I'm not totally satisfied by what I found. Do you think this is overall a correct fingering ? best regards

Could you scan the passage that comes right before this? Or at least tell me what the notes are? This could influence the decision on what fingering to use.

Using 1 for the A and then 3-2-5-3-2-5-4-1-5 etc should be a viable option, depending on how fast "Prestissimo" is. If this doesn't work you can always use something like 2-3-1-5-3-1-5-4-1-5 assuming you don't have a problem putting the thumb on the B flat.

Okay thanks, so you think 5-4-1 5-3-1 is better than 4-3-1 4-2-1 then

Just tried to look back at your link to the scan but it says it's been recycled...

I'm going to try to make this coherent. I have a 103F fever and can't really focus. If you break it up while looking at the bottom note, there is a pattern you can follow.
Measure 8, starting on the E (3rd note): 135-124-135-124 etc
LH could be (also starting on the E): 531-431-531-431 etc
You can, of course, play this pretty much any way you like.

I would slide down just using 4-2-1
