I wonder how much this new "Seaboard" technology will impact what we write and how we play: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-21699459

A digital piano in a condom is evolution? Cant wait to see the new "Trojan Seaboard" at NAMM 2014.

The thumb glissando area is kind of neat. The interviewer is kind of annoying. But what makes it squishy-soft and how will that hold up to lots of playing and the ravages of time? Foam isn't forever. Is playing a foam keyboard any fun or even practical? Seems kind of impractical to me, but it's a step up from the Haken Continuum which has zero tactile positional feedback.

I think the Harpejji is an interesting step in keyboard/guitar evolution. Though it's not really keys that you play, and the arrangement of notes is much different. http://www.marcodi.com/
