I have been willed a Sohmer & Co piano made circa 1884, which I understand to be a baby grand. It was refurbished 10 years ago and appears to be in good condition, though the keys seem to be original or at least were not replaced as part of the last refurbishment. I am interested in selling it and need help determining a value and possibly working with a broker. Any advice or direction towards that end would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If it is a small grand, it probably isn't quite that old. A tech can help you identify more specifics of age and perhaps model. Refurbishing is always vague about the process and the results, so try to get a detailed condition report as part of any appraisal. That will help any potential buyers.

One place to start is at PTG.org

Bob Maret is probably the best tuner in CFL - not
sure of your exact location but he covers a pretty
good service area.

Just Google him.. he has a site and stuff.
