Hey

Is it important to choose the location of the piano in the house ?
I have the choice : in a small room but quiet for me and the neighbours or in a room larger but not so quiet ?
I ask that question because of the sound quality of the piano.
I'm going to buy a CA65 or CA15

Sorry for my english .
thank's

doume

I'd go with a small room for a digital piano

I guess my opinion is the opposite. Larger rooms are better acoustically. Even if the piano is at relatively low volume (but with speakers) it will sound better in a larger room (and away from the wall) in my experience. This is assuming you do not live in a mansion with a great big ballroom or something.

With headphones it's a different story, of course, and it's best to be sequestered somewhere. In particular if you are using open headphones it's nice to be somewhere far away from noise.

You do not want to have CA-65 in the room smaller than 10 sq.m. smile (100 sq.f) (but Ok for something less powerful).
Or larger than 25-30 sq.m (300 sq.ft) (or open space of larger size).
Anywhere in between should be fine.
Just IMO.

PS. You can find in the internet how much power is recommended to fill the place with sound.
Fortunately for digital owners, our pianos can be easily moved if you do not like how it sounds in the room smile

Larger room. Headphones for the neighbours at times.

What size rooms are we talking about anyway. Location of piano in a room, and furnishing, is as important as size of room.

Thank you for your answers.
So I think it's important for the final choice.
I have 3 locations :
a very quiet room but only 9 m²
a room open 15m²
and the lounge 50m², but not so quiet to play piano, and I prefer avoid this choice.

I'm a real beginner, I enjoy music and now come the retirement for me and I have time enough.

So I was looking for CA65 or CA13/15 or CN34.
I'm going to try them on next thursday whith my daughter-in-law. She plays piano.

My choice for kawai : the more friendly shop in Lyon gives me this advice.

But if you have somme advice to give me .....
