Hey guys,

This is actually my first ever public performance of the piece...and I have a few disclaimers. The piano was quite out of tune, and the odd key was a bit stuck...but also when I used both pedals at once, the hammers hit adjacent notes...so that's why there are some really weird note mistakes.

Aside from that, any comments and criticism are welcome! I know I made tons of note mistakes, but when you're not studying piano full time what can you expect..haha.

Enjoy! I'll post the rest of the recital later in another thread.

I'm listening now, and I think it's real, real good. Quite a few spots feel a little too wild and rushed, sometimes kind of bangy, and sometimes (briefly) bordering on not being in full control, but to me those things are outweighed by the passion, energy, momentum, character, and contrasts. Above all, I found it interesting and involving enough to keep listening. smile

Thanks for listening Mark! I do agree with those points, I stiffen a bit when I do those octave passages, and my tone gets brittle. And yes,I do have a bad habit of rushing.... I'm performing this again in a few weeks, and I will be listening and taking notes on how to improve my conception of the piece - it's the best substitute for not being able to work with a teacher!!

Hopefully next time will be better, though I'm quite pleased that with what I have so far, finally being able to perform this work after studying it for quite some time.
