Happens often enough, I suppose. 64 poly instead of 32 on the cheaper models. A few more reverbs and DSP on mine, with a triple pedal board capability including half pedaling. And the record function works faster.

Just wondered. Does the spec really increase, or is there a sinister downside to all this? Like a quality fall off. Because the price for the new model isn`t much different from the older . . .

My Good Lady says I`m cynical .. .

This evolution is true of most consumer technology. TV's, PC's and laptops, cameras, mobile phones, audio, and so on. The prices usually are about the same level over many years despite lots of new releases. My laptop cost £249-£499 many years ago; the current with the latest, equivalent in today's technology and specification is about the same. The spec has increased, but so has the consumer expectation and comparison with others.

I think you`re right. There seems no shortfall in the piano voices from my previous instrument. I was scared o` that happening. But it does look nice wi the three pedals.

Even if I use only one of `em . ..
