Hey guys,

I've had something strange going on with my left speaker line-in input system (which I use on occasion for my Vintage D) where it seems to cut out intermittently.

I have been able to reproduce the error and hear it best by attaching the line-in with my computer, and playing something (e.g. a music mp3, etc) and going into system settings and putting the audio balance all the way to the left.

The technician has tried repairing it couple of times, and even replaced one of the logic boards, and has told me it is a "software" error, and not a hardware problem and that there's nothing to be done. I don't know what he meant by that, because I wasn't home and I'm hearing it second hand, but that doesn't seem to make any sense to me.

I want to know if this truly is reproducible in other people's piano or if it's only mine because otherwise I will escalate this defect to get it fixed or replaced.

Thanks for the help/

I tried panning in the Reaper (because at first I thought you mean panning in the Kawai internal settings) and I didn't notice anything erroneus. How frequent are the drop-outs? I tried it only for a short while.

Thanks Hooksx. I actually got a call from Kawai in California - my technician had been in contact with them and they also couldn't reproduce the error, so it's something wrong with my piano (as I suspected and not a intrinsic software issue as the tech thought.

Hopefully they'll get this fixed up soon.

Chicken lump, mind telling me the city you live in? I also live in California, and I posted about my piano problem, though is a casio. What I want to know is, did you get Kawai come out to your house to fix it? or did you have to haul it back to their main repair facility in California? I'm not happy about having to drive minimum of two round trips where I first have to bring my casio in for an inspection, leave it at the authorized repair service sot hey order parts, then I come back to pick it up. Thanks.
