Listening in my morning bath (yes it’s weekly scrub day)
to Grappelli play Gershwin, the good mood spilled over into
a dollop of JS Bach ... Prelude 2 in C minor.

Anybody out there tried this Allegro (f energico ma non legato) ?

My own impression of Prelude 2 is ... how irritatingly “predictable” ...
with all those measure repeats.

Any comments?

I think you got the wrong key.

The second Prelude and Fugue from WTC, Bk I is in C minor. Bach gave no tempo indication so your edition's "Allegro (f energico ma non legato) is some well-meaning editor's attempt to guide you into this work.

Nevertheless, I can't stand editors that do that, however well-meaning they happen to be. smile
