I'm presently working my way thru Dave Frank's Youtube video "Breakthrough to Improve - The Secrets of Improvisation". I see that he also has a book available at http://www.amazon.com/Joy-Improv-Bo...=3LTII1H6TSART&coliid=I2DGKA4YTRWM20 (Joy of Improv - Book 1).

Is the book a supplement to the video, or does it basically just repeat the same information? I guess what I'm asking is whether there's added value in purchasing the book.

Thanks!

I swear to God that I logged in at this moment to share that video with folks, weird..

http://youtu.be/5v9GKaSnYgQ

It's a step-by-step video designed to introduce the improv process for beginning improvisers.

The Joy of Improv books are a separate curriculum designed to set the foundation for jazz improv..

Thanks for asking)

Thanks for the quick answer, Dave!

I'm more interested in Blues Piano than Jazz. So, would the book be of any benefit to me (beyond the video) at all?
