As a piano music fanatic I collect LP records, for 4 years now.
I photograph them all on both sides for achival purposes and
they are from 70 years old until the late 80's.
I gathered some 4000 or so Piano records by now and like
them a lot!
For fast conncections this is the link:

LP Record Collection

You can type a favorite record or player
in the search window if you like!

Greetings from Hans

NINETEEN THOUSAND +? wow

That's incredible!
(Including getting them all photographed.)

And I assume you've even listened to a few of them! ha
(I don't think anyone could have listened to all of them....)

Amazing collection. smile

Hi guys!

I like my 4000 or so Piano Records the most!

About the 19000 pictures; that is a total of back and front
cover. So half of it is more likely being the total of the
collection ;-)
I listened to all records I have bought, mostly once, but there
are 100's of favourites I play more often and have not been
put in storage, but are kept in my living room and house.

300 records are next to both my turntables
and are often played and often exchanged for new favorites ;-)
I have a lot of new needles, so I can easily play them often, let's say one to ten a day.

I only buy cheap records, 20 cents to 10 euro's a piece and find 1-100 records a week until now,
but I don't try hard to find them, only a few shops, not wholesale or something.
Tomorrow I'll go to the 2nd hand shop again and will find a record or 2 I guess,
Always eager to find nice Piano records! ;-)

See you!

I believe there's a 12-step program for this.. laugh

What is it that makes you collect records (versus other types of media)? Do you prefer the sound? Or the physical record in your hands?

You also mentioned your collection stops in the late 80's.. is it safe to assume to went to other forms of digital media after that?

Well, see, the majority of classical LPs out there are not nearly as valuable in monetary terms as other LPs from different genres. So, by logic, one must amass a large collection. laugh

(In truth, I do no know the value of classical LPs. Some could be quite valuable; I am just being silly)
