Hello!! I'm hoping for some advice on a much-beloved piece of furniture in my home. Bought this almost 20 years ago for $200 (it was painted white) and we have since refinished about 90% of it.

The serial number (#34595) inside the piano show it is from mid 1890's.

Has only 3 missing keys...rest are all real ivory.

My boys are now playing the piano and we really need a more "working" piano...one that has keys that are easier to push down and all that. While I love this, it isn't realistic for them to play on everyday.

I have no idea what my options are to get this piano out of my house. I am assuming I cannot sell it. It is mahogany and is super heavy. I'd love it if somebody wanted it and just came to get it.

I live just outside Washington DC, so there are lots of people close. Wondering what the best way to get in contact with people is.

Any advice would be appreciated.

List it on Craigslist.

Washington DC, you can try a place called second chance, it is a charitible organization out of the Baltimore area but they do pick up pianos and I have used them before in the DC area. They may even have an office/warehouse near by. You will have to google them for a number
