We have been trying to find a book of Holiday pieces (Christmas, Mother's Day, Easter etc) for very early beginners.

My Grand Daughters are in the Schaum Red Book #1 and would like to be able to play something for friends and family at Holidays.

A trick that's been used is to find a relatively difficult piano transcription of something, and then arrange it for four hands, with one kid playing the RH and the other the LH, thereby eliminating the difficulty.

It is not a book, and not all are piano arrangements. However, it is a good resource for Christmas songs and folk songs.

Type in the name of the song, pick PDF output for sheet music. MIDI output if you want to hear it. If a person wants to make a very simple arrangement to a melody only, use freeware MuseScore, and add one note harmonies. Yes, a lot of leg work, but the reward is a that person can get almost every popular Christmas song, arrange it to their own taste and skill level.

I've never heard of Mother's Day music. For this, I would suggest adapting "Happy birthday" to "Happy Mother's Day".

Or just have them play whatever pieces they play comfortably and give a bouquet of flowers to Mum and Granny.
