Hi All,

Does anyone know of a kawai dealer in japan that can ship internationally (to singapore). Im interested in getting a CA95 (or even CS10) but the current single official dealer here says they dont keep stock and if I were to order the CA95, it will cost me $7900 Sing dollars which is like $6400 US dollars. A huge mark up to prices I see listed in US or UK stores.

Hello singapore dude,

Please note that the CS10 is not currently sold in Japan.

As for purchasing a CA95 directly from Japan and shipping to Singapore, this is not something I would recommend, largely due to the warranty and technical support being limited to the country of purchase.

Kind regards,

Thanks James.

its a bit frustrating to be able to scan the internet and see some japanese language sites selling the CA95 for 299000 yen, which is equiv to $3775 SGD, ie half the price.

For half the price... Im willing to go without the guarantee or support. Worse case scenario. I would have to pay my local dealer for a spart part should something break down.

singapore dude, If the Singapore Kawai dealer hasn't got a CA95 in stock does that mean you will be buying without trying, which is not recommended? It could be the inflated price is due to Singapore import duty/taxes so if you ordered from Japan privately your piano may still be subject to the same duty/taxes. Have you checked the Singapore prices of other makes of pianos of the same quality which you could buy (and try) in Singapore? Here in the UK the prices are: Yamaha CLP-480 = £3209, Yamaha CLP-470 = £2099, Roland HP-507 = £2655, are the prices of these pianos similarly inflated in Singapore?
