Hi Everyone,

Here is our latest interview with the winner of the 2005 International Chopin Competition, Rafał Blechacz. The 27 year-old pianist talks about his early inclinations, a fascination with Szymanowski, and of course, Fryderyk Chopin.

Have a wonderful weekend, and as always, thank you for reading smile

Another really great interview. I was interested that Blechacz several times said that many pianists have made great Mazurka recordings. OTOH there are a fairly large number of PW posters who always seem to say how few people play them well(I agree with Blechacz).

I was also interested to see on your link to all the interviews that you have interviewed non pianists.

Many thanks for the kind remarks, pianoloverus smile

I agree with Blechacz on that one: Horowitz, Kapell, Friedman, Rachmaninoff, Fou Ts'ong, Michelangeli...are just a few that immediately come to mind.
