Hello,

this is another test about my new Yamaha P105b.

What do you think about. The sound is very pretty for its price.

Foster12, Yamaha should pay you! You bring out the best in that P105. You play & sound great and I would never guess that's coming from a $599 digital piano.

Again very nice playing on a budget instrument.

From your YT videos, you play very well. How do you find the P105, key action, sounds. Good things, bad, or not so good things?

Thank you Marko laugh

you are too gentle smile

I wish soon to do another demo with the Guitar Bass Voice and Harpsichord. I think that this two voices in particular are noticeable.

Yamaha should pay Foster12 +1, they are kind of ignoring the marketing on low-end DPs...compared to Casio.

Hi Spanishbuddha,

the sound and action is light years better than my old yamaha P60.

The action is pretty good for his price. I could play better Chopin Etudes and nocturnes in P105 than in my Yamaha U3.

The bass of yamaha p105 are very good, not too different from Yamaha U3/Yamaha G1

Don't like very much that when you press a key (for example C5)with more strenght, the sound become sharp, pointed artificial.

This is a problem when I play fast.

One thing is sure: I've played pianos with worse sound.

Besides it's very transportable.

Nice playing!

I auditioned a P105 a couple of days ago and was very impressed. One does notice that the AP sample set has a small number of velocity layers, but it sounds amazingly good for $600 and 25 lbs!

Foster12, which pedal did you buy?

That's cool.

I noticed when I played the P105 in the store that the included pedal doesn't support half-pedaling, although I believe that the piano itself will do so, if you connect an FC3 or similar sustain pedal.

I use half-pedal quite a bit myself, so I'll probably get a separate pedal if I end up buying the P105.

I think it's a matter of personal preference, though. The lack of half-pedal doesn't seem to impede your playing in any way. smile

Sounds great!
It's marvelous that you can get such a good sound from a $599 instrument.

I would like to hear anything more on the p105b.
Maybe something using the electric piano sound?

Very nice playing indeed! I would love to know the chords you played in the left, if I may ask smile

I was more in tuned to you playing than the sound of the P105 so I listened to it again. It sounded very good but you made it sound that way.

Very nice Foster.

Just another example of ...

Almost any piano sounds great when you can play.

Many of us spend a great deal of time (and money) searching for that "perfect" sound with the expectation that it will transform our playing into something beautiful.

Never happens.

We should spend our time (and money) practicing, instead.

That is what does it.

Thankyou all guys!

Hi Russ, the chords in the left? At first i do to play sixths minor with the 6th in the bass.

For example E6b and then Cmin6 with A in bass.

I don't remember if it's allowed to post a sheet music here? confused

I thought you were kidding us -headphones on, where`s the sound gonna come from? Realised my vol was turned off . . .

Excellent, man. Yamaha do good cheap stuff. Did you use a line out for the recording? I only have a headphone socket which works well, but gives a different (not unpleasant) sound.
