Hi All,

I am confused which one I should buy:
CVP 505 - with old sound engine but more features (more voices including S.attriculation/styles/MIC, etc), and yeah look is more appealing as well . 3k/ 3.3k EUR respectively for B and PE
CVP 601 - with the new REAL GRAND EXPRESSION engine and definitely "newer" series. 2.6k/3k EUR respectively for R and PE

Both have GH3 action.

Does CVP 505 has any disadvantage compared to CVP 601, because it is relatively older model?

PS: I have moderate experience on an upright, but I would still consider myself as bigginer. Whatever I buy now will be with me for at least 5+ years

I just took a side-by-side at Yamahas website look because Im not familiar (below). I like that the 505 seems to have a more powerful speakers, but does not mean that is necessarily better sound. Also kind of like the looks of 505 better IMO. however 601 glossy black very nice. Both look like fun - good luck!

Any difference in the sound engine for piano won't matter. You will end up disliking both and switching to a software piano eventually anyway. So pick the one with the best other features, looks, better sound system, etc.

The 601 has a great stereo sound which is sure to impress. Looks bulky, mind. And isn`t cheap.

I wouldn`t gig it . . .!
