Has anyone bought one of these?

Sega Toys "Grand Pianist" - eBay seller

I almost did myself although I am glad I didn't since there may also be a potential issue with a power adapter which has to be used with it to convert the input to the correct voltage for usage in the USA. You will see that the eBay seller goes into great detail regarding the extra plugs/adapters that he includes for "free" along with your purchase, however, if you buy the same piano for less money at the amazon.com link below do you get the same plugs/adapters with your purchase?

Sega Toys "Grand Pianist" - amazon.com seller

I would be very careful before deciding to buy one of these since they are quite expensive to begin with and what would you do if it arrives damaged since you are dealing with a long distance purchase from Japan?

Also, here are several videos demonstrating the piano in action:

The keys do work but you would have to be a Barbie doll to play it!

Here's an example:

No - Barbie lays on it and sings.. Ken plays it.

And yes, I can't wait not to get one!

I think a Korg Micropiano in a custom mini grand piano casing would be cool for kids. Those Shoenhut pianos are horrible.

Ha ha! Need to convert the DPBSD MIDI file to FEM format...

In one of the videos it seems the key movement isn't able to keep up with really fast repeats. And I could be wrong, but I'm not hearing any velocity sensitivity.
