I keep going back to the 'on demand' and listening to all of those fine performances.

It reminds me of all of the fun in this thread.

Thanks All!

Just as a heads up: Classics Online just finished putting up the recordings from the semifinals recitals. Downloads are $9.99 for entire recitals and $0.99 per 5 minutes (rounded up) for individual pieces. For the low, low price of $23.88 you too can be the proud owner of 12 different versions of Birichino!

Just found that out myself. Sorry to see it happen, hope it's not permanent.

Does anybody want to spill the beans?

Edit: Turns out to be a simple temporary problem.

ahh true...but...hmm. I had thoughts about sending in my application for that one. No expectations on getting accepted of course, but...Let's say hypothetically that it would happen - think of the horror! The horror of PW comments! As was indicated in a previous thread ( http://www.pianoworld.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2131431/2.html ), while youtube videos have a 'block' function for comments, the horrors happening in threads like this cannot be stopped by ANYONE! (except moderators, if things are overly offensive) I think I would probably cancel the Chopin competition even if I'd get accepted and would urge anyone who'd get accepted to do the same!

wink

Fei-Fei bowed out of the Cleveland Competition. I'm pretty sure she was on the initial roster.

Watching the Busoni livestream...only heard of two of the semifinalists, one is Giuseppe Greco.

The downside of the Busoni Competition is there's a lot of Busoni.

All the on demand videos seem to have moved off the Cliburn website to Youtube. At least, a lot of them are there. Some are missing. I see Semifinal performances for some people but not others.
