I couldn't agree more. I remember the July morning in 1971, (I think that was a Tuesday too!) when I heard Jim Morrison was dead, who would have thought the three remaining members, Ray, John Densmore and Robbie Krieger would live more than another 40 years?
I still can't get the descending right hand thirds intervals in the intro to "Riders on the Storm" to my satisfaction, either in smoothness or eveness and I still find the timing in "Love Street" difficult, in fact, again, I cannot play it to my satisfaction.
I am unsure I always get the bass "G"s on the 4th beat of LA Woman right, (Do I miss them occasionally? Yes, I think I do)and I think he must have had superb seperate hands technique and ability.
It seems not many here are overly concerned or appreciative of a great American pop/rock keyboards player.
What a shame.
Thanks for the challenges you have left keyboard players, Ray, they really do help musical development and imrove ability, for me anyway, if for no-one else.
