Thanks, CebuKid. That was much fun! He plays two pieces in the segment: Brothers, and Burning. I have to say, though, I didn't agree with the interviewer's characterization of Einaudi's music as "Radiohead without words." confused

You're welcome, Monica. Do you play those pieces too? If so, please share. smile

The Radiohead without words is a strange characterization, you're right. Radiohead is self-loathing and self-depacrating whereas Einaudi is contemplative, reflective, with some hints of tragic and stormy...but in a good way.

I'm working up "Burning" right now and may use it for the next recital. smile "Brothers" is on the harder side, so I'll probably never be able to play it in my lifetime leave it for later.

You know, I have always thought of Einaudi as kind of creating a wall of (piano) sound, and after I started playing some of his pieces, I think that description is all the more apt. And Radiohead could also be described as a wall of (guitar) sound, hence the comparison??

Ok, off to check out the link and share it with some friends, thanks for posting it Cebukid!

Thanks for the link!
Radiohead? That's weird... But ok, it's an opinion.
