Hi, as anybody looked at the Yarvik 13.3" android tablet.
I've given up using my ipad on my music rest due to the screen being to small, but now after seeing this 13.3 tablet I think it will work great in portrait and view a full size sheet. It should work with a hands free Bluetooth pedal like The Airturn .
What would be ideal is this size screen on a Kindle, but I'm not building my hopes for that so this Yarvik tablet should be what I've been waiting for .
Anybody have any hands on with this device please share your thoughts.Thanks.

The tablet you mention would be about the same as an iPad, since it uses a 16:9 screen (equivalent to approximately 10.75 inches).

I have used an iPad many times and it isn't too small. I guess if your sheet music is printed very small, from a poor quality scan, or you are very far away. Sure, it's smaller than real sheets, but readable for me.

I consider the iPad too small, but I probably have older eyes than you do.

Maybe someday they'll come up with a true screen size of 9"x12, just receive my Frank Sinatra fake book and like most books its 9"x12 page size with actual text size not quite
8 and a half by 11.. so to scan it and squeeze it onto that screen size the reduction would
probably be 85% ...so I placed the book on the music stand with me seated, and measured it
its 15" inches away ...please tell me how in the heck do they expect anyone even with hawk like vision to read text on an I pad? from that distance.. its difficult enough with the actual book reading the chord symbols in that font size..

You are talking a 17" 4:3 or 5:4 screen.

I think you would scan your book and read it in PDF on that tablet, but I expect it to loose a bit of size but not a lot .
A lot better than a pad.

That looks pretty cool. Depending on how apps run on it, I would expect it to be a fair bit easier to read than an iPad.

I've already looked at a musicnotes app that will run on android.
On my ipad I use Forscore but unfortunately they don't work for android.

I'm looking forward to getting a Nexus10.

I've not tried it yet, but it's got pretty DANG high resolution.
2560 x 1600 pixels - that should be pretty nice.
Desktop monitors are usually 1920 x 1080 - not nearly as good.
Put it in portrait mode, and things should look GREAT.
