wow Recardo - that's an amazing voice. It has such depth to it - reminds me a bit of Kathleen Ferrier who was much loved in the uk a few decades ago.
The expression 'Its not over til the fat lady sings' doesn't really fit this lady does it? She looks so skinny that its hard to believe that she could produce such a full and rounded sound! Opera singers always sound like they should be huge - and move like galleons, such is their impact. It surprises me that often they don't.
Recaredo - she does have a lovely voice - thanks! I don't get enough exposure to this kind of stuff.
Dispy, Kathleen Ferrier has a serious set of pipes, as well! Impressive!
Yes Rossy, you have been negligent in your music postings. This makes up for it
This is a neat band. It's actually bluegrass mixed with a little punk, complete with washboards, a banjo, an autoharp and a fiddle. I got to see them live a few years back, as an opener. Now they are number one on the bluegrass chart, on the Fat Wreck Chords label of all places. This is a sweet little song.

Here we can listen to this fantastic version of Haydn’s “Farewell” Symphony, conducted by Adam Fischer. The concert filming is quite unusual, but the legendary ending of this symphony is still well represented. I enjoyed a lot this video last night.
thanks Rupak - yes I miss the sunday classicals. I really liked the first clip - the schubert I think
This guy's voice somehow manages to cut right through me leaving me quite moved. And he isn't afraid of letting the spaces between the sound resonate - but that sounds weird, and I hope it makes sense.

Thanks Recaredo, thought I would come and get some fresh inspiration to create some new music, things have gone a bit stale music wise. Your video was a breath of fresh air, I will just check out the forums and see what's happening.
