Thanks for your kind words Peter, yes the recording of things is the hardest part still. Never seems to go just right grin

I hardly ever check out the Piano Bar, but I took a look and have some comments from random posts in the middle of the month:

Jazzwee -- Amazing... Your "Softly" recording does indeed give you the "I'm right there" feeling. Your singer is fantastic (not to take anything away from the rest of the band). How are you recording this? Straight off the board?

Glen -- Smooth, very smooth. I've heard you play on recitals and you make it sound easy. You also make it look easy, but it's obviously not so easy, having looked now (if that makes sense).

Newman -- I 2nd the comments re: your voice... very easy to listen to.

ElleC -- Chronologically you're about 1 year behind me. Capabilitally (to coin a word), you are waaaaaay ahead. I took BWV 846 for a little test drive the other day (jumping ahead in The Piano Handbook) and realized I'm not at all ready for it. You are streaking along like a rocket compared to many of the rest of us.

Exactly! +1

FarmGirl -- I'll take you over Glen Gould any day! smile

SwissMS -- I like that angle where we can see your pedal work. Very nicely done (on all accounts, not just the pedal).

Its end of May, I have to catch up make sure not miss a piece of good music.

Newman: I like your old day's voice. Your singing is authentic. The synthesizer comp. is very cool.

Jazzwee: Its true music.

ElleC: Your rendition of Bach Prelude I is so good. You had controlled the dynamic well. The tempo is comfortable. At 1:30, the accelerated tempo raised the tension. Finally resolve with slower tempo. I appreciate your creativity in tempo. The Burgmuller piece is very good.

FarmGirl: Its not easy to improve, since your playing is very good already. The tempo is stable and dynamic is natural.

mattroilanh: Very cool rendition of Long Long Ago. Chant Arabe, your LH rhythm is stable. Its a nice piece.

Elssa: You put your digital piano to the limit. Your rendition of MORE is very nice. The God Father Theme is my favor piece too.

Codi: Its summer now in my city. Your playing is very good. I wish I could sing but I can't. I think your piano need some tuning.

Allard: You are our Einaudi expert. Your playing is professional.

This is my second rendition of Bach Prelude I, WTC. This is an easy piece, but always improve when play again.

I am going to record this piece again next month. My new digital cam arrived. I test with new digital cam find out audio quality and video quality improve a lot. Mistakes are uncovered with new equipment.

Nice one Weiyan, I took on this piece last month and definitely did not find it easy but then I was overstretching......just a bit.

Surprisingly easy, barely an inconvenience.
