Hi Folks,

I am looking for a music dictionary App for iPad and I will appreciate your recommendations. Preferably it includes all the symbols, not only the terms.

Thanks in advance.

If you really want a comprehensive reference then this is what you want.

It's not an app and it's not available for Kindle. And it's not a small book. But it'll work and remain useful across a long, long, long learning curve.

I also didn't have any luck with finding music dictionary apps for iPad. Sorry couldn't be more help.

I would recommend New Groves Dictionary by Sadie in paperback.

There are several music dictionaries available as Kindle Editions. You may need a Kindle reader app as well. The most promising at first glance is:

Essential Dictionary of Music Notation, Tom Gerou and Linda Lusk. Have a look.

How about this one? Doesn't look like it has the symbols, though.

But this one says it has the symbols.

There's a couple to look at. smile

Thanks JeanieA.

I was able to download MusicTools Music Dictionary on both iPhone and iPad. It didn't show up in iPad search but showed up in iPhone search. I just got it but it appears to be useful. smile
