I'm curious to know if any of you use a giant floor piano in your studio. I think it would be fun to have one to teach theory, practice note reading, get kids off the bench every now and again, etc.

I've seen cheap ones from $40 all the way up to $20,000 from Monster Piano. I'm sure I'll buy a grand piano before I'll ever purchase a Monster Piano, but it's fun to think about getting one someday. I think it would really get people talking about your studio.

What are your thoughts?

A floor staff is a better investment and much cheaper!

What the heck are floor pianos? Aren't all pianos floor pianos. I know all of mine sit on the floor - none are suspended or attached to a wall. I suspect you mean something else.

I bought one, but for years I made my own with masking tape.
