Only recently I started using the sustain pedal. I find that even a minimal pedal depression gives a muddy and long sustain. Is it just my technique that needs to become ( a lot ) better, or is there too much sustain in my CA-65 and do I need to tune it down?

Stefaan, have you perhaps adjusted (or tried adjusting) the 'Damper Pedal Depth' setting?

Kind regards,
James

No, I didn't adjust pedal settings. Are the standard settings realistic, or are they overdone?

I believe they should be realistic. I don't recall hearing any complaints about the default values up until now.

Kind regards,
James
