My piano playing has been quite limited over the past couple of years, due to circumstances beyond my control, but I had a good day and took a rare chance at sight-reading a bit and found Erik Satie's Gnossienne No 1 to my liking.

I always heard the Gymnopédies played Lent with avec étonement. The attempt was made, at least, despite some interesting unintended liberties with this Gnossienne.

Thanks to Andy, Cinnamonbear, for encouraging me to share this and for helping to cleaning up the file, giving it some room to breathe.

Just to be clear, when Glen says I helped to clean up the file, I added some reverb and EQ'd things for him a little bit. This is Glen's un-edited performance. It's a good one, imho.

Glen, I'd love to hear you take a shot at Gymnopdie No.1 by Satie. Based on what I know of your style and taste, I think you'd love that piece.

Glen -

BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!

The piano sounds great - and the recording is very rich sounding and clear.

Such a pleasure to hear you play again. I truly enjoyed this !!

Thank you, Larry! I found the Gnossiennes interesting and I will give some of Satie's other pieces a go. Your encouragement is very much appreciated.

Phil~ Thank you for the kind words. It's good to be able to play again, albeit for short periods of time. I am thrilled you enjoyed this Satie!

Happy, Healthy, New Year!

Glen
