Are you surprised?

Cool! Thanks for posting it -- interesting!

BTW to me it's way more than just a "short bit"! And it reminds us how unusually gifted most if not all of these extraordinary pianists are. At 9, he was playing that piece way better than probably most of us could play it at any age. (I know -- I tried.) grin

Oh no. In one of the photo galleries of one of the papers there's a slight wardrobe malfunction on a certain performer in a very sparkly dress.

I feel like I should protect her now.

Obviously, the photographer didn't see it. And it's not obvious, it's like when someone says, "Look, there's a deer at the edge of the forest." And you say, "Where?" And then you look harder, and you see how well the deer blends in with the foliage.

Remember the tag on the jacket sleeve back in the prelims?

It just fits in with the "wardrobe malfunction" theme. I'm still curious about the glittering in the glitter spangled forest.

I keep going back to the 'on demand' and listening to all of those fine performances.

It reminds me of all of the fun in this thread.

Thanks All!

Just as a heads up: Classics Online just finished putting up the recordings from the semifinals recitals. Downloads are $9.99 for entire recitals and $0.99 per 5 minutes (rounded up) for individual pieces. For the low, low price of $23.88 you too can be the proud owner of 12 different versions of Birichino!

Just found that out myself. Sorry to see it happen, hope it's not permanent.

Does anybody want to spill the beans?

Edit: Turns out to be a simple temporary problem.
