I'm hoping Casini or one of our other wonderful members in Italy can provide me with email addresses or other information about piano teachers in Orvieto. I'll be visiting briefly in September.

A teacher who speaks some English would be a plus, but this is one more good reason for me to study the beautiful Italian language.

I'll also likely be in Rome either the weekend of 9/20 or the following weekend, and it would be great to connect with any PW members or to learn about pianos that might be available somewhere for practice in Rome or Orvieto.

Thanks!

The son of a friend teaches near Rome, but I don't know anyone in Orvieto

I could send out some emails on your behalf.

If you are only visiting briefly....what kind of lessons are you hoping to have?

Can you PM me with more details?

The other 2 PW members who are most often in ABF are Torquenale and Sinophilia - I know they both live in the north of Italy - we're sort of strung out in a row across the top of the boot. I don't know what sort of contacts they might have.

Meeting up could be lots of fun - but we'll have to look at the timing - I'll just be getting back to work, and I know we have an event planned for 22 Sept. ...But let's see.

I'm sorry ClsscLib, I can't help you with Orvieto or Rome... but if you need me to write emails or inquire on your behalf let me know!

This hotel has a lovely piano..though I don't know that they'd let you play it!

What a lovely hotel!

I hope to visit the hotel while in Orvieto.

We are booked into an old convent that has been converted to an inn. It appears the inn has an old upright piano, though it likely hasn't been serviced recently. I'm offering to pay for a tuning. (It should be cheaper and easier than trying to travel with a digital, or having the digital shipped overseas and back.)

I can't wait to return to Italy!
