If you are a KAWAI CA65/CA95 owner and would like to share your favourite cusotm presets/settings, It would me very welcomed.

I know there is a huge thread on this for the CA63/CA95 here:https://www.pianoworld.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/1916998/1.html

However, as a lot has changed for the newer CA65/95 which negates most of this thread due to Kawai changing the dual voice mode and various other settings. Perhaps we can get this thread going if you all chip in with some good settings from the VT.

Tannay,

Could you provide us with a recording under these settings?

I have yet to buy a digital piano and right now I'm not really in love with the sound of the Kawai CA65 so I would appreciate it if you could upload some stuff. Maybe some Rachmaninoff or Beethoven while you're at it? smile

Regards,

I am owner of a KAWAi CA-95 since this July. I like the combination of two (piano) voices very much. Especially, I like pretty much the combinations with the "Upright Piano" as second voice. The Upright brings much stronger bass tones into the mix.

Usually volume distribution 3(high)-7(low), my favorites so far are in that order:

Studio/Upright
Mellow/Upright
Jazz/Upright

Please try and tell me what you think!

Are there any significant differences between the CA 93 and 95 regarding using this huge CA 93 preset list from the other thread?

mfranke, the CA93 featured 'Ultra Progressive Harmonic Imaging' (UPHI) samples, while the CA95/CA97 feature 'Harmonic Imaging XL' samples. The latter offers the same level of expression, while increasing the length of the samples to 'extra long'.

It should be possible to layer sounds in the same way, however the outcome may well be different, due to different samples being used for certain sounds.

By all means, please feel free to give it a try though. wink

Cheers,
James
