After several days spent backtracking with the massive copyright project, and now unwinding, I came across this quote which may be relevant for some of us composers:

"Each of us has a finite reservoir of energy in any given day. Whatever amount of energy we spend obsessing about missteps we have made, decisions that do not go our way or the belief we have been treated unfairly is energy no longer available to add value in the world."

Well I love quotes and I am an optimist. Life seems too short for negative energy.

Being an optimistic is always good but being an over optimistic will harm the life.

Who woulda thunk you'd use your first post on a piano forum to criticise someone for being optimistic. All I'll say is I disagree, but since I suspect English is not your first language I'll simply ask did you really mean to say, "Hope for the best but plan for the worst!"? That little saying is itself a bit cynical and what seems to work for me is more like; hope for the best, but be prepared to not get everything you want.
