I am the owner of a brand new PX-350, and am very happy with the purchase. I enjoy the keyboard action and the variety of sounds and features on the piano.

I'm thinking that the piano sounds themselves can be customized somewhat to sound as much like an acoustic as possible, and would like to do that but am at a bit of a loss as to how to start.

Recognizing that "piano sound" is quite subjective, do any of your Privia owners out there have any suggestions that I can use as a starting point??

I'd much appreciate any advice you can provide.

Thanks,

Bruce

Pretty much the _only_ thing you can do to change the piano sounds on a PX-350 is to modify the "Brilliance" setting in the menu.

The "Reverb" setting has some effect. There's also setting for the decay time of the sound when you "half-pedal" -- it's in the menu system also.

It's not a Roland V-Piano, or even a Roland FP-50.

. Charles

PS -- The PX-5S has more tone-control options.

Hi Bruce, I have a Privia PX 350 too. It´s a very good instrument that exceeds features at a lower price.

It will help a lot to use a good pair of headphones (Sennheiser perhaps) or a good audio amplified system. Built-in speakers do not produce very good sound.

Try to select a sound of your preference and then increase/decrease Brilliance and set touch to your preference.

Thank you, Jorge. I have played with the brilliance and touch sensitivity and have found what I like best. I also plan to run the piano sound through my old stereo amp and JBL speakers. I would hope that the JBLs sound a lot better than the little speakers in the unit itself.

If possible try the speakers at different position/orientation so you can get the best sound reception.

Good luck!
