This is the second child of one of my close friends, born a week ago. For her first child, I recorded a collection of piano music and put it in a CD. Now that there is SoundCloud, I thought this would be a good excuse to open up an account and start uploading some recordings.

I recorded Berceuse by Benjamin Godard and Traumerei by Robert Schumann. Unfortunately I only spent less than half an hour to learn each and did such a mediocre job. I hope to start sharing my recordings here nonetheless.

Berceuse

Traumerei

lovely pieces Tubbie0075, would never have guessed you spent so little time in prep. You must be a very gifted sight reader.

My sight reading sucks big time. I had to memorise as much as I could in 30 minutes then had my eyes glued to the music. I did several takes before I could play it without mistakes :-P

This was a good challenge to find out what is the most efficient way to learn a piece in a short time. It meant no playing the entire piece over and over again, and focus only on the difficult part, then learn them as slowly as my brain could absorb it. I should implement this into my daily practise session.
