I am looking to buy a DP for my son.
Initially I was thinking to buy the CN24 but I reallized that the CA15 was not extremely expensive.
There is a significant price difference (400 Euros/ 520 USD).
THe question is if the difference can be justified by the better keys and speaker system/cabinet.
I have not tried or seen in person any of the two.
Is there any difference in cabinet quality?
My aim is to get the most "realistic" DP and I do not care about usb ports, number of voices etc.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you.

I went to try out the CN34 vs. the CA65. There is no CA15 for the USA at the moment.
I was hoping I would love the CN34 and be done with it. I liked it a lot. But,
after playing the CA65 I knew I was going to have to save a little more and get
that it instead. I really love the keybed on the CA65. YMMV and I think you really
have to try them both out and compare for yourself.

Thanks for the input, but unfortunately the CA15 has RM3-II keys while the CA65 has GF, so probably they feel different.
Unfortunately I can not spend more in order to go for the CA65.

Bebelac,

The CN24 and CA15 share the same sound technology and are very similar in terms of features. However, the CA15 is more of 'piano purist' instrument - there are fewer sounds, but an improved speaker system, and of course the unique wooden-key keyboard action.

If piano realism is your goal, the CA15 is superior to the CN24.

For more information, my recommendation would be to refer to the respective CA15 and CN24 brochures and owner's manuals available at the URLs below:

http://www.kawai.co.jp/worldwide/support/catalogue.html
http://www.kawai.co.jp/worldwide/support/manuals.html

Moreover, the current 'General Products' brochure contains a side-by-side specifications table comparison of the CA15, CN34, and CN24:

http://www.kawai.co.jp/worldwide/support/catalogue/Kawai_Products_Catalogue_Summer2013_EG.pdf

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,
James
