Here`s a multitrack. Well, two actually. I lost patience . . . it`s all in the title (not!) Gordon Bennett, think piano! Piano! Piano! NOTHING but the pee-anno!

Thanks, jazzwee, peterws, and Newman for the kind comments - so glad you liked the standards with the combo.

Newman~ Spectacular effort on, Factory with Come On (Let’s go Tonight). You get better and better each month. Your accompaniment shines through, second only to your voice . Just wonderful, Newman.

Peterws~ That multi-track production with your electric keyboard is great. The voices come through very nicely. You have a great sense of time and it’s clear from the start you were enjoying playing the music.

Yester, that Schuman piece was lovely. You have such a graceful way of playing, and wonderful expression.

Ladypayne, good arrangement on Whispering Hope. I especially liked all those arpeggios you added; they nicely filled up the spaces. I don't think I remember you playing that way before, well done.

Amaruk, what a production! That was a very listenable arrangement and performance, and I enjoyed hearing the kids too, and watching how they reacted to the music.

Mohan, what a workout! you play with real gusto and expression, and excellent rhythm and timing. I enjoyed every minute of it!

Newman, beautifully sung and played. I envy you and all who can sing as well as play, a great gift.

Earlofmar, extremely impressive for 8 months of playing. You have made great progress!

Enjoying all the great stuff here this month. thumb

Bill: Very dreamy, as always.. wonderful arrangement/color tones with your voice and playing. You make every song your very own. smile

Well, thought I'd post some type of a summer song, apropos as it's in the high 90s here in NY. :p

SUMMER SAMBA (SO NICE)

Very summery Elssa! High 90`s? We`re in the high 70`s here. If it gets any hotter, the shirt`ll have to go back on . . .

Yor piano sounds like one of tose organs they used for dancing on the pier and Tower Ballroom at Blackpool . . . was there today. Full o` foreigners . . . was 15mintes before I heard a Scottish voice . . .

TY, Peterws. smile Your recording was gorgeous, the playing and arrangement. I've never tried multitracking, always take the "easy way out" with just using 2 voicings on my Roland DP at once. UR very perceptive to pick up the organ sound in my recording "Summer Samba" - I don't usually use it. I played organ w/pedals for many years as a young pup and love experimenting with the different settings/sounds now with the DP.

Sounds like you've got it made.. I spent about a month in England during the summer when I was 14 and remember the weather was perfect, in the 70s.. Sure prefer that to the 90s. :p

Just starting a new job 6 days a week, so not much time to record new things, but will try..you've inspired me. Have always wanted to play "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" smile

It's been decades since I was in Blackpool. I saw Cliff Richard and The Shadows (yes) at the Blackpool Odeon.

'a Scottish voice'?

Tis Scottish Break Up time (schools); last week actually. By tradition, they all descend on Blackpool though I think half of `em live there now . . .

earlofmar - very funny, man! The place (Yate`s) got burnt down by a disgruntled ex employee `bout 5 years ago! Straight after a multimillion pound refit . . . .The guy`ll be out now; Blackpool`s had more than a few arson attacks lately.

Peterws - Lion King is very popular with my 2 year old grandson so I get to hear it quite frequently. I really enjoyed your version. I'm always impressed with those who add a technology layer to their music - Well done.

Elssa - it has also been unbearably hot here in the DC area. Your lively rendition of Summer Samba was the perfect tonic, although it was missing the gin. A Lovely Performance.
