This is very very nice! I felt the ebb and flow of the emotion of this piece. Love the space between the phrases which feel like the breathing between the crying

The question is, is the piece really called "Sometimes I feel like crying" or "Sometimes I fell like crying"? grin

This is a nice piece. I hear a lot of Chopin and Scriabin, and some Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Debussy.

There are parts of it that feel very restrained harmonically, some of them repeating several times, and you could have definitely done more with them. For example, the section from around 1:00 to 1:12.

To the previous poster: Your post would have been right on time, had you posted it four and a half months ago. grin But, since the thread has already been summoned up from the dark depths of time, I guess I will just post my thoughts. Certainly it can do no harm, or can it?

An old thread?! Either way I can't resist chiming in. I agree with some of the aforementioned remarks: interesting rhythms--the spacing between phrases and rubato really make this hard to count! But in a good way; The rhythms feel very natural and musical. I did not liken this to breaths between crying fits but that does make sense. Also I agree with Polyphonist that there is not a great deal of harmonic exploration in this piece. The result is a sort of "glance" at a mood... it doesn't really dive into the depths.

Which brings me to the next point--this feels almost like a very long intro. It seemed like this piece would perhaps grow and become more dynamic, more expressive, more powerful. I was a little disappointed that a more focused, energized theme never emerged.

Anyways, this still is quite nice and played beautifully.

Lol thanks.
I think it's an improvisation I did a while ago.
I spelt it incorrectly - Sometimes I feel like crying.
These words happen to fit the melody perfectly.

I have the score if anyone's interested.

Hi, Firefinch -- IMO, this is the best composition of yours that I've listened to -- very poignant, direct, nicely proportioned, a very satisfying, beautiful conclusion. Thanks for sharing this!
