Several of you asked....and we're going to oblige. We're going to introduce detailed tuning functionality to True Keys very soon.

Our question? What types of options/functionality and other tunings would you like to see? We can't promise that we'll build everything in, but we'll do what we can.

imyself,

If you click and hold your mouse down on the velocity curve you can actually edit it.

Let me know if you need any other help with that.

Thanks!

You can use a VST plugin to manage velocity curves. I use midiCurve (screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/NT024cb.png)

There's a 64-bit .dll of it floating around somewhere.

I'd settle for the higher velocity layers on many notes - including middle C - being in tune. The tuning issues in the higher velocities of the American keep me from using it in many applications. Very annoying!

Allan,

I'm a bit confused. How do you use this to modify the velocity curve in True Keys?

Regards,

Dan.

Ryan,

First, it's great that you are aggressively adding enhancements to True Keys. And it takes a lot of guts to seek feedback in a public forum knowing that some users can be "quite direct" in their requests. Uhhhm... Not me, of course. whistle

In looking at the screenshot you provided... To be frank, I haven't a clue what it is supposed to do. I've not seen these terms. What do "Cents" and "Ratio" mean?

My #1 ask is more robust adjustment of velocity curves. The current velocity curve adjustment is not particularly useful for me. At minimum it should be like the Velocity Editor in Galaxy Instruments which allows you to set individual points in a custom curve. Even better would the velocity curve calibration utility in PianoTeq4 which creates a custom curve tuned for your specific piano (and then allows you to tweak it).

If it will help, I can post screen shots of the GI and PianoTeq velocity screens. Please let me know.

Regards,

Dan.

This plugin goes in front of the True Keys plugin. It's a table that maps input velocities into output velocities that True Keys receives. Your VST host should let you chain together multiple plugins like this.

Interesting. I'll try that with the True Keys host.

Thanks,

Dan.
