Peter - Nice work
Elssa - great tunes. Windmills is also a favourite of mine. I have a feeling many who participate in the bar are baby boomers.

Enjoyed those Elssa. Bit before my time of course . . Legrand seems a wistful guy, whimsical, whatever. I prefer Bacharach . . .come on gurl! over to you . .

Well, I was born in '62, so all this stuff a little before my time, too, I guess, but fun to watch on YouTube and PBS. smile I love Bacharach, too - just can't follow his frequent key changes.. He seems to change them on a whim - but guess that's what makes it so great! :-) Trying to learn "Alfie".. not easy. :p

Do you play any Bacharach tunes? Would love to hear them. I used to play "The Look of Love" on electric organ with pedals years ago..

My favourite song, Elssa. Dusty Springfield was also my favourite singer. Bacharach was so prolific. So were Lennon/ McCartney. . . .everything they did was different. So much talent to tap into. So little time . . . grin

I love Bacharach too. "Do you know the way to San Jose", "Walk on by" and "I say a little prayer" are my favourites. When I listen to "Say...prayer" on the train to work I have great difficulty restraining myself from singing along. I've started on "Walk on by" a few times but struggle and give up - one day.

Dionne Warwick, and Aretha Franklin I think. . . . Was there better? I think not.
