What easy enough passacaglias do you know (also chaconnes, any elaboration of a bass cycle)? Baroque or contemporary or even similar structures in heavy metal, whatever.

I found Faber's "Fiesta Espana" has this feeling, being a direct realization of the Am-G-F-E cycle and other Spanish typical sounds and rhythms (what exactly make the whole Spanish?). It's in Level 3B children's, or book 2 Adult Piano Adventures.
Pachelbel's Canon and its many derivatives I know some about. Still interested in more distant derivatives (there was a Wedding Variations much different from the original).
Kerll's Passacaglia in full is enough above my current level, still a good intro to Baroque ornamentation [found a French edition that writes all notes explicitly].
Bach's Passacaglia BWV582 is a dream of mine, but way WAY above my multitasking.

I'm really interested more in analyzing the best and honing my ability for own passacaglia-like improvisation. Already have a few. One is an easier paraphrase of Kerll, with traces of the Italian Lamento bass. Another I evolved since some years is partly compatible with "The Final Countdown" (found out later - it tried to start as something "new sounding old" - but what is really new in musical structures?). None are completely fixed down (my musical writing is also cumbersome), each playing is different and evanescent!

Also Haendel's Passacaglia from Harpsichord Suite in G minor (HWV 432). Better known in the Haendel-Halvorsen arrangement for violin and (viola or cello).

I swear I never formally listened this one so far, but... "my" main Passacaglia happened 3 years ago to crystallize around the exact same harmonic progression (I thought based on fifths and the feel of 'artillery closing in on target'... also different rhythms)

Found the original, somewhat hard for me now, but got the gist of it.

I don't study or play contemporary styles but did find this theme from Battlestar Galactica, which is in the form of a passacaglia, to be memorable and evocative enough that I'd looked it up on YouTube and found a video of the composer playing a piano arrangement.
