Hi All,

The time has come to sell off my favorite books on piano repair and design. I realize that we aren't suppose to solicit on this forum, but I thought one of you might actually like to have these books as some are rare. You can find the books on ebay by searching "Books for Piano Technicians and Tuners".

Best wishes.

Nice collection. 1. Piano tuning and allied arts by William White - 1950, is the first book I read long ago.

Have the books already been sold? I've copied and pasted the search phrase directly into ebay, and can find no results. frown

Funny, I must have much knowledge , as I have read 6 of those 8 books wink

They where the only available books in English for a long time.

I was not courageous enough to translate German books (some of them are really "bibles"), but things are so much easier now as translations can be assisted with softwares (on technical books you may have a clue of what is written and know the terms , or you'll be lost, but even Google translate does an acceptable job to provide a skeleton)
Wolfenden wrote an excellent book in my memory really "modern" .
for the era.

How does "guide to restringing compare with "the calculating technician ?" (difficult to use because of the imperial measurements but that last is a good reading)
