Hello all,
I am considering the Kawai CA95 in rosewood. Unfortunately, I am not able to find good pictures of it online and my local dealer does not have a rosewood floor model.
In the pictures available online, the rosewood model appears almost identical to the satin black model.
If you have purchased a rosewood model, could you share pictures of it taken in good light so that I can see what it looks like?
Thanks.

Hi eventhorizon, Click on this link and scroll down. You will see some great pics of CA95 (Rosewood I believe) courtesy of Clayman: Clayman's CA95

The rosewood is dark and many customers mistake the rosewood for ebony. Claymans pics are an excellent example of this.

Unfortunately, I am not able to find good pictures of it online and my local dealer does not have a rosewood floor model. eventhorizon, the CA95R has the same finish as other rosewood Kawai digital pianos, so assuming the dealer stocks a selection of different models you should be able to check the colour/grain appearance. Clayman's photos mentioned above are also an accurate representation of the 'true' finish. Best of luck! Kind regards, James x

The rosewood is dark and many customers mistake the rosewood for ebony. Claymans pics are an excellent example of this. Here are some posts of my travels with a CA63 CA 93 and the CA95. All were Rosewood. https://www.pianoworld.com/forum/ubb...3%20First%20Impressions.html#Post1883316https://www.pianoworld.com/forum/ubb...New/Used%20Kawai%20CA63.html#Post1844300https://www.pianoworld.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2050818/Kawai%20CA95%20-%20The%20Inside%20Story,.html#Post2050818 The latter also has some inside pix when a Tech opened it up to try and fix a small problem. In a couple of them, are glimpses of the vinyl finish color which is somewhat accurate. Another nice "Feature" with the Rosewood, is the red felt above the keys and pedals, and gold tone pedals. For me, I really liked that over the black and silver finishes. The Rosewood is kinda towards the dark side, but I would not have it any lighter. Have fun ...

Thanks, Marko! Yes, my CA-95 is the rosewood variant. To me, it actually seems darker than for example Yamaha's rosewood variant (and much nicer, too). If I remember correctly, Yamaha's rosewood finish is more to the red whereas Kawai's is more brownish, maybe with a little purple tint. It looks amazing with the "gold" pedals and the red felt in the keybed. Looking at the pictures in retrospect, the reflection of the sunlight from the floating floor might have distorted the real shade of the finish a tad so I hope it is still telling enough. Anyway, to the OP: the CA-95 is a really good pick. Congratulations on your choice and good luck.
