Dear Cheryl (aka Casini...)

I admire those who step up and take hard jobs that need doing and will not make everyone happy (Little League referees come to mind :-)

Best of luck in your new position.

Good luck and thanks for stepping up to the plate. You're braver than I am. Once upon a time I was asked to be a moderator on another forum. I haven't been back there since. shocked

Congratulations and thanks in advance for doing the work others would resist

Surprisingly easy, barely an inconvenience.

Congratulations, casinitaly!

You know, you have a language edge--if you throw some Italian at me and it reads like it might be the least bit stern, I'll probably start crying. grin

Cheryl... I hope you'll bookmark this thread and come back to it in the future when you are exasperated with feeling that you are doing a thankless job (I'm assuming this will happen from time to time). smile

Well, a what a lovely cascade of messages to start my day!

I am starting to feel under the gun! I'd better do a good job.

Stubbie: I'll be really careful about my use of Italian, I'd hate to make you cry smile

I really appreciate all the encouragement and confidence and good wishes from each and every one of you.

I've been a mod before, in a different kind of forum, and yes, there can be some difficult moments. I am not too worried though - I've known you guys for 3 years now and I've seen that this is one of the most peaceful forums ever. (Famous last words? I hope not!)....

Cheryl - where did you go wrong? Going over to the "dark side"... laugh

It's always been a sort of dubious and somewhat draconian pleasure pushing up against BB's "authoritarian edicts" (since he always seemed to sportingly enjoy the give and take of that), but how can I possibly do that to you, especially when you love Italian food as much as I do?

And besides, anyone who get certain PWers to start "serious threads" must have a lot going for herself and has earned the job (as much as anyone can be said to...)

Wield power wisely (or abuse it with abandon if you prefer),

smile TJ you make me laugh! - and you have great recipes to share too - what a combination! (And yes, BB Player is indeed a good sport - not to mention very supportive as my Mod-Mentor!)

I will try to use my powers wisely even though you think I'm on the "dark side". ....Though now come to think of it, you have made me feel keen to make an "authoritarian edict" [not]! (and not that I think Greg has either smile )

In any even, as you've noted, I have had moments of being pretty convincing, even without a magic wand smile - so far, anyway - so I'm hoping to avoid anything on the draconian front myself!.

This is so well deserved, Cheryl. I'm sure all the opleds would agree that your energy, support and initiative working with the team to get the grieg recital together has been unbelievable. We're lucky to have you!
