I am trying to get into a commercial music program at a college and need two contemporary songs (country, rock, jazz, pop, etc.) along with two classical, (I am playing Chopin Waltz in D flat and Lecuona's Andalucia). Do y'all think Great Balls of Fire would be a good choice or is it too overdone?

You might rather try Jerry Lee's Whole Lot of Shaking Going On. either was, Jerry Lee is one of the seminal figures
in rock piano. You might want to also consider any of Johnny Johnson's accompaniments of Chuck Berry. Also Floyd Cramer,
Nicky Hopkins and Fats Domino should not be ignored. e
