I'm considering purchasing a Kawai RX series and nonticed this promotion: http://www.kawaius.com/promotions/promo_moreinfo.htmlDoes anyone have more details about the promotion? I'm guessing the rebate is different for the different models. It also mentions the rebate applies to "qualifying" models. Which models qualify exactly?

I'm going up to a dealer this sat and possibly buying my first grand! as far as I know, the rebate for RX2 is $1200. I think it might be more rebate if you get higher model (e.g. RX-5).
the rebate program ends 8/31.
Which size are you thinking?

I was considering the RX-2 or RX-3. Do you know if you get the rebate from the dealer or do you purchase first and claim it later through Kawai?

Rebate programs may be nice corporate lures but it's even nicer to sit down with salesman/manager/owner and make best deal. At any time of year. Norbert

Yeah, I have a feeling that all these rebate programs are just a marketing tactic. to me, what matters the most is my net cash outflow at the end of the day. I don't care if the dealer give me $1200 discount, Kawai gives me the rebate, or whatsoever.

But then again, if the dealer can give you a $1200 discount, and you then get a $1200 rebate, it would be very nice. So you can still negotiate your best price independent of the rebate.
