Bruce Brubaker is the new musician, a visionary virtuoso, an artistic provocateur. His thoughtful interpretations span the divide between concert halls and nightclubs, showcasing a killer technique and a repertoire ranging from baroque to the newest of new music. As author of the PianoMorphosis blog, Brubaker also has a lot to say about the piano’s role in a changing society.

“Songs of La Belle Époque” � Nathalie Colas, soprano & Eugenia Cheng, piano

La Belle Époque (“The Beautiful Era”) was a period in French history during which the arts flourished and masterpieces were created. The Exposition Universelle of 1889 in Paris was especially influential to artists and musicians, including Louis Comfort Tiffany and Claude Debussy. Travel back in time to the era of Art Nouveau and salon music to explore Tiffany’s glasswork and be treated to a French song recital with soprano Nathalie Colas and pianist Eugenia Cheng!
