Hey everyone,

nice to be here smile
I'm a 24 year old student from Munich, Germany who just got an old keyboard from his mom. Since I played chess for quite some time I always wanted to play an instrument. Unfortunately I never really gave it a try and thus cannot even read notes.
But I'm ambitious and will give it a try.

I've got a Youtube-Channel where I run some kind of a diary in which I record my progress. I literally started yesterday and try to improve with the help of a book labled:

PlayPiano

which teaches you right from the very beginning.
Right now I'm also looking for a Digital Piano which was recommended by some users on another online platform.

If you've got any questions smile let me know
and if you've got any advice/ tips / hints / whatever, don't hesitate. I'm thankful for each helpful hand.

Welcome to the forum, Meridirh! smile My best advice is to approach piano much like chess: You don't become a grandmaster overnight, but if you're patient, practice regularly, and stick with it, you'll get there. smile

What kind of music do you want to be able to play?

Hi Monica

I try to approach the Piano slowly but surely smile
My preferance would be classical music I guess, since I love that kind of music. But honestly I don't neglect other types of music since learning all of them is important to me and my development.

Welcome!

Just one tip, try to get some lessons. UNlearning is much harder than learning and getting good basics in playing pays off later.
