Hi Cas. We took a weekend mini-vacation, so I missed 2 days: August 23-24. Thanks for keeping up with all our updates!

Hi there,

Please sign me up as a late starter. I only registered on the 25th having got my new digital piano on the 20th. Have been away from the piano for a LONG time, at least 20 years + so a lot of work to do.

All the best.

Gary

Just couldn't play (piano) yesterday -- out to business meetings before dawn, then straight to an orchestra gig until midnight. I've already practiced today with more to come later.

Yesterday was my first day of no playing in 2013. Pretty incredible, for me, and all due to MOYD. Thanks for the nudge!

Hi, I've had more time for piano than I have had for Piano World, but nevertheless, have fallen off the wagon, traveled, gotten busy, missed days, yet still made lots of progress, especially this summer. I'm back on track now, as of August 30. I've already got a slew of new pieces for the next year of study and I'm really excited, some Grieg Lyric Pieces, Beethoven Rondo Op. 51, No. 1, and Debussy's Clair de lune among others, so I'm excited for daily practice! I'm also getting better at smart practice, which, for me, is even more important than the frequency.

I am devastated.... i did not play even a note yesterday... really I am so upset I'm grabbing the odd Kleenex to mop up sneaky tears as I keep remembering.
I miss enough with all the traveling we do.....
So what is my excuse.... exhausted. Standing all day and no voice left.
We were super busy down at the tasting room and stayed open later that usual, Busy and I suppose quite 'eu-stressful' i.e. exciting. There was a Japanese film crew around most of the day, helicopter visitors for a later picnic - chef had to open up his kitchen just as he had closed up for the afternoon - limo parties galore with crowds of 'staggettes' and 'graduates'. Couple of Villa tours for prospective weddings....
And I had started the day gardening 7am til 11am before opening time. Good thing I got it finished!
Fish and chips for dinner while we watched the news then straight up stairs and asleep by 9pm. Not even a Brahms Lullaby.
I have tee-shirt that says 'Live life with no regrets'
Well I don't have to garden this morning so I'm playing first. The day looks as if its going to be just a busy as yesterday. If any PW member comes visits, before you start tasting' you must ask me if I've practiced yet!

Cas, Guess I posted while you were away on vacation (8/26). Could you add me to the late starter list? Thanks,
AJ

Off I go again. From 10th til 24th Sept to Wales for big family reunion. Doubt there'll be any piano time.

Hi Cas,
Have you picked up my request for late registartion?

Its already working for me, squeezing some piano time in on the busiest of days!

Thanks
Rik

I'm back from my trip and to normal life.

When I wrote last time I made a typing error, I was leaving on August 27, not 28.
BUT it happened that a found a piano in Paris airport departures area (a sign invites people to share music) and I played it. My family was not believing I was doing it!!

Then, I visited piano shops in Shanghai and I played all the pianos I could put my hands on. Always the same pieces, my repertoire is limited and the memorized repertoire is ridiculous. So I played on September 30 and 31.
